Weekend Ahead: November 14-16

WATCH
Ok, there’s flexible and then there’s just plain freakish. We haven’t made up our minds yet about the abilities of the cortortionist acrobats who are hitting the stage for Traces yet. Their last night performing at McGlohon Theatre though is Sunday though, so now is your last chance to check them out for yourself. www.blumenthalcenter.org

SHOP
SouthPark’s hip designer boutique, Intermix is hosting a shopping party to benefit The Mint Museum on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at their store. And, while with brands like Michael Kors, Chloe, and Diane von Furstenburg, we wish we could shop at Intermix every day, we can’t because, you know, we have to feed ourselves and stuff like that. However, considering that ten percent of your purchases will benefit The Mint Museum and guests are offered light refreshments while they shop, as well as a presentation on art and fashion at 4 p.m., we think this is the perfect excuse to buy that dress for the holidays we’ve been eyeing for months.

CHECK IT OUT
You know what we love? A good Fall Fete. You know what else we love? A Fall Fete than involves fashion. Where, you may ask, can you find such a wonderful thing? Well, let us tell you: Selwyn Corners this Friday. All day long the shopping center is hosting a party with wine, food, and live music, as well as special promotions being offered in all of the stores. SURFACE, PERRIS (boutique), and LucaLu are all featuring informal modeling and SURFACE will also be hosting a jewelry trunk show with local jewelry designer, Elizabeth Scott, which starts today and will continue through Saturday.

CHEER
The Bobcats are busy this weekend! See them Friday night when they take on the Denver Nuggets and on Sunday when they’re up against the Utah Jazz. You can get tickets online, over the phone, or at the box office. www.timewarnercablearena.com
